Power Systems Test Engineer

As a skilled engineer at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), your role involves various tasks such as tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, and more. You will be a part of the largest Operations hub supporting Hitachi Energy's units in over 40 countries. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Planning testing and data creation activities based on business requirements and solution designs to ensure high-quality project deliveries. - Designing and developing functional and non-functional use cases and test cases to verify business objectives and requirements. - Collaborating with engineering and subject matter experts to collect and process data for testing. - Implementing reusable test automation tools and executing various tests including performance tests and regression tests. - Providing testing progress reports, identifying and investigating issues, and recommending improvements. - Mentoring others on software testing methodologies and enhancing software quality. To qualify for this role, you should have: - An MTech/ME Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering or a PhD in Electrical. - 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance processes at a large software development organization. - Experience in software development using languages like C, Java, Fortran, Python, and SQL. - Familiarity with data formats, databases, testing frameworks, and operating systems. - Critical thinking ability, excellent communication skills, and experience with Power Systems Network Modeling and related areas.
