Job Description

Role Overview: You are being sought after for the position of Power Electronics Expert to lead the engineering, productization, and global deployment of next-generation medium-voltage, AC-based, megawatt-scale containerized converter and charger solutions for EV charging. This strategic role will involve driving the design, certification, and realization of industrial-grade MW-scale power conversion systems that enable clean-energy transportation on a global scale. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the end-to-end system architecture and detailed engineering of containerized megawatt-scale EV charging solutions, ensuring compliance with international electrical and mechanical standards. - Guide multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from conceptual design and prototyping to globally certified, production-ready systems. - Select, evaluate, and justify power electronics components through reliability analysis, derating assessment, and engineering validation practices. - Oversee preparation and submission of certification, reliability, and compliance documentation, including FMEA/FMECA, safety assessments, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) deliverables. - Design and validate grid interfaces, covering MV/LV protection schemes, safety interlocks, grid-code compliance, and fault-response performance. - Engineer, optimize, and validate thermal management and cooling systems for large-scale air-cooled platforms. - Ensure seamless integration of protection systems, control architecture, power hardware, and monitoring systems under all operational and fault conditions. - Support global deployment efforts, adapting system designs to country-specific regulations and certification requirements. - Mentor, coach, and develop technical teams across multiple engineering disciplines. Qualification Required: - Ideal Candidate Profile: - Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. - International experience in medium/high-voltage power electronics for EV charging, grid-tied systems, or large-scale industrial platforms. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and technical documentation skills within multicultural environments. Additional Company Details: This job description omits company identifiers to preserve confidentiality for ongoing strategic projects. Note: Anonymity Statement: Company name cannot be shared due to NDA obligations.
