About The Role

We are looking for a

Power BI Technical Lead

with strong expertise in

Power BI, SQL, SSRS, and Python Automation

, to lead our business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing a small BI team, while also contributing individually to deliver data-driven insights and automation solutions. Exposure to the

US Healthcare domain

is a plus.This role involves a

70% individual contributor

focus and

30% leadership

responsibilities, working closely with business stakeholders and development teams in a global setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards and analytical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
• Design and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows for data extraction and transformation.
• Develop and support SSRS and Report Builder reports.
• Drive Python-based automation initiatives, leveraging AI or scripting to streamline BI processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and security of BI environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review support to a team of 34 BI developers.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to maintain data governance and reporting standards.
• Stay current with emerging BI, analytics, and automation tools to continuously enhance BI capabilities.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 912 years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
• Proven Team Lead experience should have directly led and managed a team of at least 34 members (mentorship alone is not sufficient).
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report optimization.
• Strong SQL skills including performance tuning, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
• Proficiency in SSRS and Report Builder.
• Python Automation experience (12 years) with demonstrable use of scripting or AI-based automation for reporting or data workflows.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• US Healthcare domain exposure (minimum 6 months) is preferred, with an understanding of healthcare data models and attributes.
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
