We are seeking a business intelligence engineer who can implement Power BI solutions for internal and external clients. The individual must have an advanced knowledge of SQL Server, all the Power BI tools, T-SQL, and some data modeling experience. Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS and SSAS is a plus. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate problem statements, explain business processes as they relate to solutions and present reporting solutions to stakeholders. The candidate must be comfortable collaborating with members of the various teams and possess a willingness to express concepts, solution approaches and receiving feedback. The individual must have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a good grasp of the technical side of business intelligence. The candidate must be capable of interpreting business and data requirements with the understanding to incorporate them into their designs.

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:

• Strong working knowledge creating Power BI Dashboards and Paginated Reports.
• Experience with SSRS reports and the concepts of Sub-reports, drilldowns, and cascading parameters
• Advanced Knowledge of Excel, specifically for data analysis
• Knowledge of all Power BI tools including, Power Maps, Power Query, Power View
• Experience with Power BI languages including DAX and M
• The ability to write advanced performance tuned SQL queries and procedures for data mining and report creation.
• Experience in the identification of data patterns, data profiling and data quality
• Design, develop Power BI user interfaces to ensure ease of use and presentation of business requirements.
• Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly analysis of data.
• Ability to create measures or Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Ability to gather requirements and conduct solution meetings to determine the processes needed to assist and support the business reporting needs.
