Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Developer to design and deliver enterprise-grade dashboards and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices , with the ability to translate complex business KPIs into meaningful insights. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers to establish Power BI best practices across the organization.

Experience: 5 -10 years

Location: Bangalore

Mode of Work: Full time -hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Translate business KPI definitions from Excel/calculation sheets into scalable data models and dashboards.
Design and develop enterprise-level dashboards for functions such as COO, HR, Finance, and Operations.
Define, optimize, and manage DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Integrate data from multiple sources including Excel, SQL, Dataverse, APIs, and AWS data lake.
Ensure dashboards adhere to data governance, validation, and accuracy standards.
Mentor junior developers and establish best practices in Power BI (naming standards, performance tuning, and security).
Collaborate with data engineers and architects to optimize pipelines feeding Power BI.

Requirements:

6-10 years of proven experience in Power BI development.
Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
Ability to design and implement complex KPIs based on formulas, assumptions, and targets.
Hands-on experience in data blending from multiple systems (SharePoint, HR systems, Excel, AWS).
Experience in row-level security (RLS) and governance within Power BI.
Strong visualization, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities

Good to have skills:

Experience with Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks).
Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular models.
Familiarity with Python/R for data analysis and integration.
Experience with Power BI Service administration and workspace management.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Understanding of cloud environments like AWS/Azure for data integration.
Experience in performance optimization of large datasets and dashboards.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
Certification in Microsoft Power BI or Azure Data-related certifications.
