Power BI Developer Experience: 4-5 years Skills: Power BI Development, SQL About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer responsible for building robust, scalable, and insightful data visualizations and dashboards that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with stakeholders to understand requirements, transform raw data into meaningful insights, and optimize Power BI solutions for performance and usability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business needs. Connect to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs) and ensure data is properly transformed for reporting. Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, clean, and manipulate data efficiently. Create and maintain data models, calculated columns, measures, and KPIs using DAX. Implement row-level security (RLS) and other security measures to protect sensitive information. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements. Continuously optimize and improve dashboard performance through best practices in data modeling and visualization. Provide support for Power BI service administration, including workspace management, dataset refresh schedules, and permissions. Document processes, models, and solutions for knowledge sharing and governance. Required Skills Experience: 4-5 years of professional experience developing in Power BI. Strong proficiency in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions). In-depth experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language). Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines, and dimensional modeling. Excellent visual storytelling skills ability to present data clearly and intuitively. Experience working with large and complex datasets. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification preferred. Experience integrating Power BI with Azure services (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, etc.). Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus. Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps for automation and app development.
