Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in large-scale production environments.
Ensure database performance, replication, clustering, and high availability.
Implement backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery strategies.
Drive automation, scripting, and process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development and operations.

Required Skills:

1015 years of DBA experience (5+ years in PostgreSQL).
Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, replication & clustering.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, Linux/Unix systems.
Experience with high availability tools (Patroni, Pgpool-II, repmgr, etc.).
Scripting/automation with Bash, Python, Ansible.
Exposure to cloud-native databases (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure, GCP).

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid deployments & containerized databases.
Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
Contributions to the PostgreSQL open-source community.
