Required Technical and Professional Experience: 5 to 6 years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator with expertise in configuring, monitoring, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases. Proficiency in database backup, restore, and replication strategies, including implementation and monitoring. Strong knowledge of query analysis for troubleshooting and performance tuning (e.g., indexes, partitions, and statistics management). Experience in planning and executing database and server OS software patches and upgrades. Automation expertise in DBA tasks using scripting (e.g., Shell scripting) for alerts, reporting, and routine maintenance. Ability to document DBA processes and maintain automated job records. Understanding of infrastructure and software dependencies related to database management. Strong analytical skills with proactive suggestions for improving database performance and user efficiency. Familiarity with Teradata for basic DBA tasks, including monitoring, user management, and supporting CICD processes. Basic understanding of Big Data environments (e.g., Cloudera) and ability to assist in troubleshooting and internal processes. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience: Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins. Knowledge of version control systems like GIT. Exposure to Alteryx for data processing and analytics. Hands-on experience with Teradata performance troubleshooting and optimization. Understanding of the Big Data ecosystem and related tools. Proven ability to support development and operational teams on data-related issues. Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for database performance and operational efficiency.
