Position : Transmission Design Engineer ( Immediate to 30 days joiners are required) Location : Offsite (Bangalore) positions- Remote option available COMPANY INOPTRA (www.inoptra.com) Requirement : Designing overhead transmission line s, preferably to voltages of at least 345 kV. PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE Software Experience is mandatory. CAISSON and PLS-TOWER are optional. Foundation Design Experience utilizing MFAD and/or L-Pile software. Guy anchor design, Tubular steel pole and lattice tower design experience. Detailed drilled pier foundation design, soil anchor design utilizing helical piles and or grouted anchors. Develop loading drawings, framing drawings, assembly drawings, plan and profile drawings, etc. Good knowledge about industry codes and recommendations such as NESC, RUS Bulletin 1724E-200, CA-PUC GO95, and ACSE 10, 48, 74, 91, 104, 123 and 141 . Software : PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE (mandatory) CAISSON and PLS-TOWER (Optional) Experience : 8+ Industry : Electric utilities (Over head transmission) Additional : Effective verbal and written communication skills, Working with Americal codes and standards Excellent level of interpersonal skills Ability to work individually and on a team Education : Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum Requirements Overall 2+ years of work experience is preferred. Previous experience in design teams working for Grid Utilities (for e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid etc.,) for Transmission Line Structural design is highly desirable Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred Previous design experience working with PLS CADD, PLS TOWER, PLS POLE, Staad Pro, Microstran or other similar software tools is highly desirable Chartership or Fellowship with ICE or equivalent is desirable Very good communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language is mandatory

Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Overall 8+ years of work experience is preferred.
