Playwright with Javascript

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintainend-to-end automation scriptsusingPlaywrightwithJavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and optimizecustom automation frameworksleveraging Playwright's capabilities.
• Performcross-browser testingand ensure compatibility across different environments.
• Integrate automation scripts intoCI/CD pipelines(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with QA, developers, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in real-time during test execution.
• Implement best practices fortest design,code quality, andscalability.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency inJavaScript(ES6+) andTypeScript.
• Hands-on experience withPlaywrightfor web automation.
• Knowledge ofPlaywright Test Runner,selectors, andnetwork mocking.
• Familiarity withAPI testingusing Playwright or other tools.
• Experience withasynchronous programmingandPromisesin JavaScript.
• Understanding ofCI/CD toolsand version control systems (Git).
• Good grasp ofAgile methodologiesand defect tracking tools.

Real-Time Challenges You Should Be Able to Handle:

• Dynamic elements & flaky tests:Handling elements that load asynchronously or change frequently.
• Authentication flows:Automating login with multi-factor authentication or OAuth.
• Network interception:Mocking/stubbing API responses for isolated testing.
• Cross-browser issues:Ensuring tests run consistently on Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
• Parallel execution & scalability:Running tests efficiently across multiple environments.
• Handling iframes & shadow DOM:Writing robust selectors for complex DOM structures.
• CI/CD integration:Managing test runs in pipelines and reporting failures effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience withBDD frameworkslike Cucumber.
• Knowledge ofperformance testingandvisual regression testing.
• Familiarity withDockerfor containerized test environments.
