Job Description

Role Overview: At Cognizant, you will collaborate with colleagues from around the world to create solutions for leading companies, making them more flexible, innovative, and successful. As a Playwright Tester/Lead in the Healthcare QA team, your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright with a focus on JavaScript/TypeScript. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Create robust, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred). - Test Planning: Design and implement test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing. - CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). - Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery. - Defect Management: Identify, log, and track software defects; assist in root cause analysis and debugging. - Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and platforms. - Best Practices: Advocate for automation best practices and maintain test documentation. - Knowledge of cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack). - Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts. Qualification Required: - Engineering/bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 4-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in the testing field. - Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Playwright development. - Hands-on experience in SQL query writing is required. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is a must. - Knowledge/hands-on experience in Python development is good to have. - Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps). - Familiarity with API Automation testing tools like Rest Assured or any equivalent tool is a must. - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
