Playwright Automation

Job Description As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Hitachi Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks using Playwright for end-to-end UI automation. Your focus will be on ensuring the quality and performance of web applications through collaboration with development teams and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable and reusable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright (C#, TypeScript/JavaScript or Python). - Develop comprehensive test suites covering functional, regression, smoke, and UI tests for web applications leveraging Playwright's advanced capabilities. - Automate scenarios across various browsers and device viewports to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive testing. - Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback and faster releases. - Collaborate with developers and product teams to create testable features and ensure quality from the early stages of development. - Monitor automation runs, generate reports, and analyze test results to enhance coverage and effectiveness. Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 4+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation. - Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (or Python) for writing maintainable test scripts. - Strong understanding of Playwright features such as network mocking, cross-browser testing, auto-waiting, and tracing tools. - Experience with integrating Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Solid knowledge of web technologies, version control (Git), and test management tools. - Excellent analytical and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with other automation tools like Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, or TestCafe. - Knowledge of API testing tools and performance testing. - Experience with containerized environments and cloud platforms for test execution. - Working knowledge of BDD frameworks and test data management. - ISTQB or other QA/testing certifications.,
