Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Platform Engineering team at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing software focusing on internet traffic engineering technologies. Your main responsibilities will involve working on public and private CDNs, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions. This position offers you an exciting opportunity to participate in the creation of new platform technologies in our high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain Public and Private REST APIs with a commitment to high code and quality standards. - Provide proficient support for the team's technologies, addressing automation gaps by writing scripts that enhance automation and improve service quality. - Continuously learn and teach yourself new skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong understanding of internet and intranet traffic engineering, OSI Layers & Protocols, DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and TCP/HTTP processing. - Practical knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database fundamentals. - Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, PCF, Jenkins, Chef, and related platforms. - Experience in cloud-native and multi-tiered applications development, programming around Network services, Domain Nameservers, DHCP, and IPAM solutions. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, GitOps, and related best practices. - Ability to write and maintain scripts for automation to drive efficiency and innovation.
