Position Summary:

A plant manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing facility, overseeing production, quality, safety, and staff to meet production goals, maintain high standards, and ensure profitability and compliance. Key responsibilities include developing production strategies, managing budgets and expenses, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, and analysing performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Production & Operations

• Daily Oversight: Manage and direct all day-to-day plant operations to ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
• Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules and strategies to optimize efficiency and output.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Logistics: Supervise incoming inventory, material storage, and outbound shipments.
• Process Improvement: Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and waste, and implement solutions to improve productivity.

1. Personnel & Management

• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop plant staff, including supervisors and operators.
• Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and motivate employees to achieve excellence.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing, production, and distribution departments for seamless operations.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve workplace or departmental conflicts effectively.

• Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of plant equipment to guarantee safety and reliability.
