Plant Head- Furniture

You are required to be a dynamic and experienced Plant Head with a solid background in the wood, plywood, or furniture manufacturing industry. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the end-to-end production operations of the plant, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness and fostering a high-performance culture. Your key duties will include managing production activities, optimizing processes, monitoring production targets, leading and developing a diverse team, implementing quality control systems, ensuring safety compliance, managing inventory and resources, controlling costs, driving process improvements and innovation, among others. You must possess proven leadership and team management skills, a strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality management, expertise in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, as well as knowledge of safety, compliance, and environmental standards. Effective problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools is preferred. You should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing setup, particularly in wood, plywood, or furniture production. Previous experience in plant or production management roles is highly desirable. Preferred industry backgrounds include Wood/Plywood/Modular Furniture, Interior Manufacturing Units, Carpentry/Panel Processing Plants, or any production facility with exposure to MDF, laminates, or hardware fittings.
