Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

Planning & Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain
Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
and
Daily Labour Reports (DLR)
.
Prepare
Weekly Progress Reports (WPR)
and
Monthly Progress Reports (MPR)
.
Maintain
hindrance reports
to document delays and disruptions.

Planning & Scheduling

Plan and schedule
daily construction activities
in line with project timelines.
Monitor
Plan vs. Actual progress
(quantities and costs) on a daily and monthly basis.
Prepare
Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
based on schedules.
Develop
catch-up plans
to address shortfalls and delays.

Cost & Quantity Management

Prepare
Cost-to-Complete (CTC)
reports on a quarterly basis.
Conduct
quantity take-offs
for materials and works.
Perform
material reconciliation reports
to track usage vs. procurement.
Certify contractor/vendor bills for accuracy and compliance.

Resource Assessment
Assess
manpower and material requirements
to ensure adequate resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in
Civil Engineering / Construction Management
or related field.
Minimum
5~7 years of experience
in
Planning and Quantity Surveying
within construction projects.
Strong knowledge of
project scheduling tools
(e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Proficiency in
Excel and cost control systems
.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Desired Attributes

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with industry standards, billing procedures, and project monitoring techniques.
