Roles and Responsibilities of a Placement Trainer

(Arts & Science College – 5 Years Experience)

1. Soft Skills and Employability Training

• Design and deliver training programs on:
• Communication skills (verbal & written)
• Public speaking and presentation skills
• Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (GD & PI)
• Resume building and email etiquette
• Enhance overall personality development and workplace readiness.

2. Aptitude and Logical Reasoning Training

• Conduct regular sessions on:
• Quantitative aptitude
• Logical reasoning
• Verbal reasoning
• Prepare students for competitive exams and placement tests used by companies.

3. Student Assessment and Feedback

• Assess student performance through:
• Mock tests
• Interview simulations
• Feedback sessions
• Share performance reports with the placement cell and provide individual guidance for improvement.

4. Career Guidance and Counseling

• Guide students on suitable career paths based on their academic background (Arts, Commerce, Science).
• Counsel students on higher education opportunities, internships, and job roles in different industries.

5. Placement Preparation

• Conduct pre-placement sessions to prepare students for:
• Campus recruitment drives
• Online assessment tests
• Virtual and face-to-face interviews
• Familiarize students with different company hiring patterns and expectations.

6. Coordination with Placement Cell

• Work closely with the placement officer and department coordinators to ensure students are trained as per company requirements.
• Participate in planning and organizing placement drives, career fairs, and employer interaction programs.

7. Continuous Improvement & Content Updating

• Regularly update training materials based on:
• Feedback from recruiters
• Current industry trends
• Latest tools and platforms used in recruitment (e.g., AMCAT, CoCubes, etc.)

8. Event and Workshop Management

• Organize guest lectures, industry interaction sessions, alumni talks, and skill-building workshops in coordination with the training and placement team.
