Position Title: Placement Operations Executive

Reporting To: Director, Career Development Centre

Role Overview

The Placement Operations Executive will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end placement-related activities, ensuring smooth execution of recruitment drives, maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, and supporting students throughout the placement process. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills to bridge the gap between students and recruiters.

Key Responsibilities

Placement Coordination

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing campus recruitment drives, internships, and industry interactions.
  • Ensure seamless logistical arrangements for pre-placement talks (PPTs), group discussions, tests, and interviews.

Student Engagement & Support

  • Guide and inform students about placement processes, eligibility, and job requirements.
  • Maintain updated student profiles, resumes, and placement records.
  • Address student queries regarding placement processes and opportunities.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Manage placement-related documentation, reports, and dashboards.
  • Coordinate with faculty, administration, and student coordinators for smooth functioning.
  • Track and report placement statistics for internal and external stakeholders.

Event & Training Support

  • Assist in organizing employability enhancement workshops, mock interviews, aptitude tests, and soft skills training.
  • Support career fairs, industry panels, and networking events.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a student-first approach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree (preferably in Management, HR, Education, or related field).
  • 0–2 years of experience in placement operations, corporate relations, HR, or administration (freshers with strong skills may also apply).
  • Prior experience in an educational institution/university placement cell will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Students’ participation percentage in CDC activities.
  • Timely and smooth execution of recruitment drives.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of placement reports and records.
  • Student and recruiter satisfaction.
