Job Description

Position: Pizza Chef (Neapolitan Style)
Experience Required: Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas using traditional methods, including dough fermentation and wood-fired oven baking
  • Manage daily mise en place – dough stretching, sauce prep, cheese slicing, and toppings
  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
  • Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of the pizza station
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with kitchen staff for replenishments
  • Innovate and assist in developing seasonal pizza menus
  • Train junior staff on dough techniques and oven handling, if required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Neapolitan pizza – from dough making (preferably 48–72 hour fermentation) to wood-fired baking
  • Strong understanding of high-hydration dough and authentic Italian ingredients
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Team player with attention to detail and a passion for authentic pizza
