Piping Engineer

As a highly skilled and detail-oriented Piping Engineer with expertise in layout preparation and stress analysis, your role will involve designing efficient piping systems that comply with industry codes and standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Prepare conceptual and detailed piping layouts using 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant 3D, etc. - Conduct piping flexibility and stress analysis using software like CAESAR II or Autopipe to ensure integrity under various operating conditions. - Develop piping general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and material take-offs (MTOs). - Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Instrumentation) for seamless integration. - Review and interpret P&IDs, line lists, and process datasheets. - Perform pipe support design and selection in collaboration with structural teams. - Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. - Provide technical input during model reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) and client meetings. - Resolve site issues during construction and provide support for pre-commissioning activities. - Prepare technical documentation such as calculation reports, stress reports, and design basis. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - [510+] years of relevant experience in piping engineering, focusing on layout and stress analysis. - Proficiency in CAESAR II (or equivalent) and 3D modeling tools. - Strong understanding of piping materials, welding procedures, and fabrication techniques. - Familiarity with international codes and standards. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
