Tata Projects Hiring for Below Positions - Piping Design Engineer-Mechanical

Experienced and highly skilled candidate having required work experience in Power, Metals and Combined cycle projects. He /She will be reviewing, coordinating & will be front facing with client and engineering consultants to ensure seamless work delivery with quality and on schedule with value engineering.

Operational function:

• Closely work with Project team & Detail engineering contractor to deliver the work.
• Attend/ participate in client meetings to resolve technical issues, review sessions and safety workshop.
• Review of critical deliverables like Piping & Valve Material Specification with relevant ASTM, API, ASME, AWWA, BIS and other equivalent international codes and standards.
• Review of Plot Plan/ Site Layout, Hazardous Area Classification Drawings. Integration of vendor drawings into plant layouts.
• Preparation of Equipment / Building Layout, Pipe Rack Layout, Piping General Arrangement Drawings as per client specifications, Piping Isometrics drawings, Stress analysis and pipe supports,3D Model.
• Periodic Review & Deliver Piping Material Take-offs for procurement. Candidate must have commanding knowledge on Valves and Specialties (like Strainers, Expansion Joints, Orifices, Relief valves, PRDS, Pressure control valves etc.)
• Attend 3D model review sessions (like 30%, 60%, 90% completion stages).
• Value engineering / Optimization of bulk items.

Management function:

• Attend project meetings.
• Monitor of work by review of DCI & MCI, schedule activities, Provide input to progress reports and catch-up plans.
• Monitor and control costs attributed to piping. Initiate change order for variation to scope and intimate the same to project team.

Client Focus and relationship function:

• Attend review meetings, document approval with client and detail engineering contractor.
• Interface with clients to resolve technical issues and providing technical support during piping erection, testing & commissioning activities.
• Preparation / Validation of ASBUILT drawings.
