Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pipefitter, located in Ponneri. The Pipefitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in shipbuilding and repair projects. Daily tasks include reading and understanding technical diagrams, fabricating and fitting pipes, undertaking welding tasks, and working with steam systems. Collaboration with team members to ensure adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience and proficiency in pipe installation and maintenance, including pipefitting techniques.
• Skill in welding, including TIG welding, with a focus on precision and safety.
• Understanding of steam systems and their applications in shipbuilding or industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to manage the demands of on-site work.
• Experience in shipbuilding or a marine environment is a plus.
