Job Description

PICU / NICU Intensivist

Key Responsibilities:

Manage critically ill neonates and pediatric patients in PICU/NICU settings.
Supervise ICU admissions, treatment plans, monitoring, and discharge processes.
Perform emergency procedures, life support, and resuscitation when required.
Coordinate with nursing staff, pediatricians, anesthetists, and other specialists.
Communicate diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis clearly to parents/guardians.
Ensure strict adherence to PICU/NICU protocols, safety, and infection control standards.
Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate medical records and ICU documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in pediatric and neonatal critical care.
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making under pressure.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Effective communication skills with families and healthcare staff.
Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Eligibility Criteria:

MBBS with DCH (Paediatrics) is mandatory.
Prior experience in PICU/NICU or Pediatric ICU will be an added advantage.
