DMart Picker & Packer Job DescriptionJob Title: Picker & Packer Department: Store Operations / Warehouse Location: DMart Store or Distribution Center Job SummaryA Picker & Packer at DMart is responsible for collecting items from the store/warehouse based on customer or internal orders, ensuring accuracy, packing products safely, and preparing them for dispatch. Key ResponsibilitiesPicking DutiesRead and understand order lists or pick slips. Locate products in the store/warehouse accurately. Pick items without damage and ensure correct quantity. Check product expiry dates and quality before picking. Use hand-held devices/scanners (if provided) for order processing. Packing DutiesPack items properly based on product type (fragile, food, non-food). Use packaging materials like cartons, bags, bubble wrap, etc. Label and seal packages correctly. Ensure the final package is neat, safe, and ready for delivery. Inventory & Store SupportAssist in stock arrangement and shelf replenishment. Report low stock or damaged items to supervisors. Maintain cleanliness in the picking and packing area. Customer & Delivery SupportSupport online order fulfilment (DMart Ready). Coordinate with delivery team for smooth dispatch. Skills & RequirementsBasic reading and writing skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items. Good speed and productivity. Teamwork and time management. Educational QualificationMinimum: 10th pass or 12th pass (varies by location). Work EnvironmentFast-paced retail environment. Shift-based work.
