Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

Assist consultants in daily patient rounds (inpatient and outpatient)
Record and update patient history, vitals, examination findings, and daily progress notes
Help with admission and discharge processes including documentation
Facilitate smooth coordination of diagnostics and treatments
Monitor and report patient condition changes to the consultant promptly
Assist in emergency interventions as required

Patient Care & Communication:

Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up
Address patient concerns and escalate when necessary
Ensure continuity of care during consultant absence (under supervision)

Documentation & Coordination:

Ensure accurate and timely entry in medical records and hospital software (EMR/HIS)
Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and allied departments for efficient patient care
Maintain proper documentation of procedures, consents, and referrals

Administrative & Operational:

Prepare discharge summaries and case sheets
Support medico-legal documentation when required
Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed
