Physical Education Teacher - Track & Field Coach

As a physical education teacher at our school, you will play a crucial role in shaping the overall well-being and physical development of our students. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing engaging physical education curriculum that is aligned with state/district standards. - Instructing students in a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities to enhance their physical abilities. - Coaching and leading the varsity track and field team, including organizing practices, meets, and fostering team development. - Collaborating with other faculty members to seamlessly integrate physical activity across the curriculum. - Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and grow both physically and mentally. Preferred qualifications for this role include: - Holding a Master's degree in physical education or coaching. - Possessing certification in additional coaching specialties such as strength & conditioning. - Demonstrating experience in working with diverse student populations to ensure inclusivity and equity. - Having a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching physical education and/or coaching track and field. - Exhibiting excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues. - Showing a commitment to promoting health, fitness, and sportsmanship among students to instill lifelong values.
