Physical Education Teacher

Teaching:

• Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate classes in physical education, sports training, and health science.
• Design and deliver curriculum-based theoretical and practical sessions.
• Use innovative and interactive teaching methodologies.
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and assessments.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations.

Research and Publications:

• Conduct original research in areas such as sports science, physical fitness, kinesiology, or exercise physiology.
• Publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Apply for research grants and collaborate on inter-departmental research projects.

Co-Curricular Activities:

• Organize university-level sports meets, training camps, and fitness drives.
• Coordinate inter-college/intra-college tournaments and sports events.
• Guide students in preparing for competitive sports.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Assist in curriculum development and academic planning.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy making.
• Maintain records and student evaluations as per academic guidelines.

Student Support:

• Mentor and advise students on academic and career development.
• Promote health awareness and a culture of fitness among students.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• A Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• NET / SLET / SET qualification as per UGC norms.
• Good academic record with a demonstrated interest in teaching and research.

Desirable:

• Ph.D. in Physical Education / Sports Science.
• Participation in national/international seminars/conferences/workshops.
• Experience in coaching or sports training.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in conducting practical sessions and sports training.
• Research aptitude and publication record.
• Leadership skills for organizing events and guiding students.
• Knowledge of fitness technologies and sports analytics (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,146.78 - ₹30,000.00 per month
