Role Overview: As a WordPress Backend Developer at Webential, you will play a crucial role in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, implementing website designs, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of websites. Key Responsibilities: - Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch based on requirements and design specifications. - Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to enhance user experience, performance, and add new features. - Collaborate with the design team to implement responsive and visually appealing website designs aligned with client branding and objectives. - Optimize website performance, security, and scalability through code optimization, caching strategies, and best practices. - Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing WordPress websites, plugins, and integrations as required. - Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance development processes and capabilities. Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience in WordPress implementation. - Strong programming skills with experience in theme customization and WooCommerce. - Proficiency in WordPress theme development and debugging. - Experience with multiple CMS platforms, MVC frameworks, MySQL database, ACF, Elementor (optional), Gutenberg, Custom Posts Creation, Plugin Customization & Development. - Knowledge of interacting with Restful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) is a plus, along with object-oriented programming skills.
