PHP Web Developer

You will be an experienced PHP Developer with proficiency in the CodeIgniter framework, joining our dynamic development team. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications with a strong focus on performance and scalability. Expertise in MySQL database management is crucial for this role. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and the CodeIgniter framework. Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions based on project requirements will be a key part of your responsibilities. Writing clean, well-structured, and testable code while adhering to coding standards is essential. Additionally, you will optimize database queries, perform MySQL database management including schema design and performance tuning, and collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Your role will also involve debugging and resolving application issues and errors efficiently, as well as participating in all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, testing, and deployment. It is important to stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in web development. Required technical skills for this position include strong experience with PHP and the CodeIgniter Framework, proficiency in MySQL (including database design, optimization, and complex queries), good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, familiarity with version control systems like Git, knowledge of RESTful APIs and their integration, and a basic understanding of web security, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and effective time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines are crucial. Preferred qualifications for this position include a minimum of 2-5 years of experience, a Computer Science background, and the ability to work from the office located in Trivandrum. This is a full-time position with a day shift, fixed shift, and morning shift schedule. The required experience includes a minimum of 2 years with PHP CodeIgniter Framework.
