PHP Developer

As a PHP Senior Software Engineer (SSE) in our Bangalore office with a hybrid work model of 3 days onsite per week, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, and/or CodeIgniter. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to define and deliver features. Your expertise in PHP, Laravel, Symfony, and/or CodeIgniter Frameworks, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MySQL, RESTful API development, version control (Git/GitHub), Microservices, and scalable backend architecture will be crucial in optimizing existing code for scalability, performance, and maintainability. Your role will also involve leading technical discussions, mentoring junior developers, participating in code reviews, architecture design, and sprint planning while ensuring best practices in security, coding standards, and documentation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter) - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to define and deliver features - Optimize existing code for scalability, performance, and maintainability - Lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers - Participate in code reviews, architecture design, and sprint planning - Ensure best practices in security, coding standards, and documentation **Qualifications Required:** - Advanced proficiency in PHP - Experience with Laravel, Symfony, and/or CodeIgniter Frameworks - Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) - Proficiency in MySQL or equivalent RDBMS - Experience in RESTful API development and integration - Knowledge of version control using Git/GitHub - Hands-on experience in Microservices and scalable backend architecture In addition to the technical skills, it would be beneficial if you have knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology, and strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
