PHP Developer Intern

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic PHP Developer (Fresher) to join our team. You will be trained and mentored to work on web applications, contribute to development tasks, and help deliver high‑quality, maintainable code. This is a learning opportunity suited for those who have basic PHP knowledge and want to grow their skills in a real world environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code, following best practices
• Assist in the development of back‑end modules and server‑side logic
• Work with front‑end developers to integrate user‑facing elements with server side logic
• Develop, maintain, and optimize databases (MySQL or similar) including writing queries, indexing, schema design
• Debugging, testing, and resolving issues in the codebase
• Implement features under guidance, participate in code reviews
• Learn and adopt framework(s) and tools used by the team (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, etc.)
• Keep up to date with emerging trends in web development and apply them where appropriate
• Write documentation as needed for code, APIs, and deployments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field / or relevant diploma/project experience
• Basic knowledge of PHP and object‑oriented programming (OOP) concepts
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript fundamentals
• Basic working knowledge of SQL / MySQL or other relational databases
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. Git) is a plus
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly, work under guidance, and collaborate with a team
• Good communication skills
