Housed within the River HQ, our Media Studio is a multidisciplinary space that brings together creatives, writers, filmmakers and strategists under one roof. Here we tell stories that shape the brand and grow our community


What you’ll be doing


River Media Studio seeks a Photography Assistant to support our Lead Photographer in all aspects of image production. From studio setup to post-processing, we’re on the lookout for someone with a strong visual eye, technical photography skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic studio environment


Key Responsibilities


  • Production & Shoot Management: Collaborate closely with the Lead Photographer to plan, execute, and finalize photoshoots that tell compelling visual stories
  • On-Set Support: Be the critical second pair of eyes, hands, and ears—anticipating needs and guaranteeing each shoot's successful execution
  • Technical Setup: Prepare and ensure seamless functioning of equipment, including cameras, lighting, and props, maintaining high standards of technical precision
  • Creative Styling: Help arrange and style subjects or products, bringing out the best visual potential in every shot
  • Post-Production Support: Assist with editing and post-production to ensure final images not only match but potentially exceed the creative vision
  • Studio Operations: Maintain equipment, archive digital files meticulously, and ensure smooth workflow and organization


    • Ideal Candidate


  • A keen eye for detail and an understanding of how images can tell stories. Working with cameras, lenses and editing tools is like second nature to you
  • As a detail-oriented photographer, you notice the small things that can make a big difference and have a collaborative mindset that allows you to thrive in a team
  • You have proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and you possess an innate readiness to travel to different locations
  • 1-3 years of experience with assisting a photographer is ideal
