Photogrammetry Specialists

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management

• Receive, organize, and archive raw drone data including images, flight logs, and GNSS/RTK/PPK files.
  
• Verify the quality of flight logs, metadata, and imagery.
  
• Maintain backup protocols and data archival as per company standards.
  

2. Image Processing

• Process aerial imagery using photogrammetry software such as Bentley ContextCapture / iTwin Capture Modeler, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, DJI Terra.
  
• Generate outputs including orthophotos/orthomosaics, DEM/DSM/DTM, point clouds, contours, and 3D meshes.
  
• Perform georeferencing using Ground Control Points (GCPs), RTK/PPK data as required.
  

3. Quality Control

• Review deliverables for accuracy, alignment, and completeness.
  
• Conduct accuracy assessments using RMSE, GCP comparisons, and reprojection error metrics.
  
• Reprocess data to ensure compliance with client or internal quality standards.
  

4. GIS and CAD Integration

• Import processed drone outputs into GIS platforms like QGIS and ArcGIS, as well as CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  
• Assist in creating maps, overlays, and conducting spatial analysis.
  
• Export deliverables in formats requested by clients, including GeoTIFF, DXF, LAS, and SHP.
  

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing processing methodologies, data quality, and final deliverables.
  
• Maintain logs of project activities, file versions, and processing parameters.
  
• Liaise with drone pilots and project managers to resolve data quality issues.
  

6. Field Team Support

• Collaborate with drone operators to optimize flight plans for data capture.
  
• Provide technical advice on camera settings, flight altitude, image overlap, and GCP placement.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related fields.
  
• Certifications in Drone Mapping, Photogrammetry, or GIS are a plus.
  
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in photogrammetry and geospatial data processing.
  

Core Technical Skills

• Photogrammetry Software: Bentley ContextCapture / iTwin Capture Modeler, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, DJI Terra.
  
• LiDAR & Photogrammetry Data Processing: Orthophoto generation, point cloud classification, 3D mesh reconstruction, RTK/PPK workflows, image stitching, 3D reconstruction algorithms, Photoshop edits.
  
• GIS Software: QGIS (basic operations, data validation).
  
• Coordinate Systems: Projections, EPSG codes, datum transformations.
  
• Database Management: PostgreSQL + PostGIS, SQLite/SpatiaLite.
  
• GNSS data processing & RTK/PPK corrections: Experience with tools like Emlid Studio, RTKLIB.
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Bentley iTwin Ecosystem (iTwin Capture, Manage, Experience).
  
• Experience with AI/ML applications for object detection in orthomosaics or point clouds.
  
• Python scripting for automation, batch processing, and QA checks.
  
• Knowledge of 3D & CAD software such as AutoCAD, Global Mapper, TerraSolid products.
