Key Responsibilities: Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and efficiently. Review and verify prescriptions to ensure appropriate dosage, possible drug interactions, and patient safety. Provide counseling to patients regarding the proper use of medications, possible side effects, and storage instructions. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and controlled substances in compliance with legal requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to review and adjust medication therapy as needed. Monitor inventory levels, place orders for pharmaceutical supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability and proper storage. Educate patients on health topics including immunizations, chronic disease management, and lifestyle modifications. Stay up to date with pharmaceutical knowledge, new medications, and industry regulations. Administer vaccinations and perform health screenings (if licensed and permitted by regulations). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution. Valid and active pharmacist license [Karnataka medical council ]. Proven experience as a pharmacist in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting preferred. Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines, drug interactions, and dosage requirements. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory systems.
