Job Description

Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical prescriptions

Provide expert advice on the safe use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review and optimize medication therapies for patients

Maintain and update patient medication records accurately and confidentially

Stay informed on new pharmaceutical developments and regulatory changes

Ensure the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal regulations and quality standards

Manage inventory by ordering, stocking, and checking medications and supplies to ensure availability and compliance

Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally

Required Qualifications

B pharmacy degree from an accredited institution

Valid pharmacy license in the state of practice

Strong knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical calculations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in prescription dispensing and patient advising

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in fast-paced environments

Experience with pharmacy software systems and technology
