a) Accurately dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring correct dosage, strength, and formulation standards.
b) Validate prescriptions for authenticity and suitability, checking for potential drug interactions, contraindications, or patient allergies.
c) Educate patients on medication usage, including dosage, timing, and possible side effects.
d) Maintain a sufficient inventory of medications, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and emergency supplies.
e) Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines to preserve their effectiveness and prevent spoilage.
f) Perform regular stock audits to monitor expiration dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged products.
g) Assist in the distribution of stock to internal departments, following authorized requisitions as per hospital policy.
