Job Description

A hospital pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication use by managing dispensing, providing clinical expertise to healthcare teams, and overseeing various aspects of medication logistics. Their responsibilities include dispensing medications, counseling patients, collaborating with doctors and nurses on treatment plans, performing quality assurance on drugs, and participating in medication reviews and emergency response.

Medication management: Assess patient medication therapy, identify potential drug interactions or adverse effects, and work with the healthcare team to optimize treatment plans.
Patient counseling: Educate patients on how to take their medications, potential side effects, and other important health steps, such as diet and exercise.
Bedside consultations: Provide direct patient care by conducting medication reviews at the bedside, including obtaining medication histories.

Medication logistics and administration

Dispensing and compounding: Check and prepare medications, which can include compounding special preparations for individual patient needs.
Inventory and procurement: Manage the storage, procurement, and distribution of all drugs to ensure availability and proper control.
Quality assurance: Develop and implement procedures for labeling, testing, and ensuring the quality of medicines meet legal and regulatory standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
