Pharmacist

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to dispense medications accurately, counsel patients on proper usage, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting patient safety, supporting physicians, and maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately as per doctor’s orders
• Review prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and allergies
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage
• Maintain patient medication records and confidentiality
• Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and prevent expiries
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, safety standards, and ethics
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff for optimal patient care
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Handle insurance claims and billing where applicable
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm / Pharm.D)
• Valid Pharmacist Registration with State Pharmacy Council
• Proven experience in hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medications, dosages, and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Attention to detail and high ethical standards
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required
