JOB DESCRIPTION – PGT MATHEMATICS

Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Mathematics
Department: Mathematics
Grades to Teach: CBSE Grades 10, 11 & 12
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience
Preferred Institutions: Candidates from IIT, NIT, Central Universities, or other reputed institutions preferred

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAcademic Delivery

• Teach Mathematics to students of Grades 10, 11, and 12 in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and digital teaching resources.
• Explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, logical, and student-friendly manner.
• Use innovative teaching methodologies, ICT tools, smart boards, and problem-solving approaches.
• Encourage analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and application-based learning.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare question papers, periodic tests, assignments, and board-oriented practice papers.
• Conduct assessments, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Track individual student performance and provide regular feedback.
• Conduct remedial classes and enrichment sessions for advanced learners.
• Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations, Olympiads, NTSE, and competitive exam foundations (if applicable).

Student Mentorship

• Identify learning gaps and provide personalized academic support.
• Guide students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, engaging classroom environment.

Documentation & School Engagement

• Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and CBSE documentation.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
• Communicate effectively with parents during PTMs regarding student progress.

2. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSEducational Qualification

• Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
• B.Ed. is mandatory as per CBSE norms.
• Candidates from IIT / NIT / Central Universities preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the senior secondary (CBSE) level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
