Role Overview:

The PFT Technician will be responsible for conducting pulmonary function tests to assess lung health and assist physicians in diagnosing respiratory conditions. This role requires technical expertise, patient handling skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Pulmonary Function Tests (spirometry, DLCO, body plethysmography, etc.) as per prescribed protocols.
Prepare and calibrate PFT equipment before each test to ensure accuracy.
Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during testing.
Record and maintain accurate test results in the system for physician review.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when required.
Assist in scheduling and managing patient flow for diagnostic procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of patient data and adhere to healthcare regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or certification in Respiratory Therapy / PFT Technology or related field.
Prior experience in performing PFTs preferred (freshers with training may apply).
Knowledge of respiratory physiology and diagnostic equipment.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
