Performance Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Performance Testing

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using

  Apache JMeter

  .
• Conduct

  load, stress, scalability, endurance

  , and

  spike testing

  based on requirements.
• Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed performance testing reports and share insights with development and business teams.
• Work closely with developers, DevOps, and architects to troubleshoot performance issues.

Manual Testing

• Develop and execute test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all modules.
• Participate in requirement discussions and contribute to test planning.
• Support UAT and production validation activities.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with

  Apache JMeter

  for performance testing.
• Hands-on in different types of performance testing (Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance).
• Strong knowledge of

  Performance Test Planning

  and

  Performance Metrics Analysis

  .
• Proficiency in

  Manual Testing

  , including test case design and execution.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as

  JIRA

  ,

  Azure DevOps

  , or similar.
• Basic understanding of SQL for validating backend data (MySQL/Oracle).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, New Relic, AppDynamics, etc.) is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing (JMeter) and Manual Testing.
