Key Skills

Operating Systems & Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with

  Unix/Linux OS environments

• Strong understanding of

  OS internals

  , file systems, disk/storage, and networking protocols
• Working knowledge of

  Virtual Machines (VMs)

  and

  Containers

Performance & Load Testing

• Expertise in

  performance engineering and tuning

• Hands-on experience with

  LoadRunner, JMeter

  (and similar tools)
• Experience in

  designing, developing, and executing load/performance test scripts

• Performance testing of

  APIs, distributed systems, and integration patterns

• Defining

  performance strategy

  , baselines, and

  Go-Live certification metrics

• Performance monitoring and

  bottleneck analysis

Monitoring & APM Tools

• Strong experience with

  APM tools

  such as:
• AppDynamics
  
• Dynatrace
  
• OPNET (or equivalent monitoring tools)
  

Programming & Scripting

• Coding knowledge in

  Java and/or Python

• Experience with

  scripting languages

  for automation and testing

System Optimization & Tuning

• Ability to analyze code and

  recommend performance optimization techniques

• System-level tuning:
  

• CPU, Memory, Disk, Network

• OS-level and application-level optimization
  
• Application capacity modeling and

  resource utilization optimization

Production Support & Troubleshooting

• Experience in

  triaging and troubleshooting performance issues

  in production
• Handling

  performance degradation incidents

• Monitoring application performance and improving stability
  

Capacity Planning & Resilience

• Contribution to

  capacity planning

• Participation in

  disaster recovery (DR) exercises

Documentation & Reporting

• Strong skills in

  performance test documentation

• Reporting performance results, baselines, and findings to stakeholders
  
• Clear communication with

  multiple teams and stakeholders

Soft Skills

• Ability to work

  independently

  and as a

  team player

• Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in

  Computer Science

  or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

• 3–5+ years

  of hands-on experience in:
• Performance Engineering
  
• Performance Tuning & Analysis
  
• Application Development (preferred)
