About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Penetration Tester – Pentest Operations to lead our penetration testing team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day pentest operations, distribute projects to junior penetration testers, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough security assessments on web applications and networks to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

· Utilize penetration testing techniques, including manual and automated methods, on web and mobile (Android & iOS) applications, networks, and systems to simulate real-world cyber-attacks and assess security posture.

· Apply in-depth knowledge of networking concepts to identify and address security issues at both the application and network levels. Collaborate with network security teams to ensure a comprehensive security approach.

· Stay informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, integrating threat intelligence into security operations to enhance proactive defense measures

· Manage and oversee day-to-day Pentest operations within the cybersecurity team.

· Distribute and assign pentest jobs/projects to junior penetration testers based on skill sets and project requirements.

· Act as a bridge between clients, project managers, and the pentest team to ensure smooth workflow and project updates.

· Review pentest reports, validate findings, and ensure accuracy before client submission.

· Mentor and guide junior penetration testers, helping them improve their technical and reporting skills.

· Monitor project progress, resolve operational issues, and ensure timely project delivery.

· Contribute to the development of pentest methodologies, processes, and best practices.

Key Requirements:

· Experience: 3 to 7 years in cybersecurity operations with at least 2 years in penetration testing management/operations.

· Strong understanding of penetration testing, VAPT, WAPT, and security assessment methodologies.

· Hands-on experience in distributing projects and managing teams.

· Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong knowledge of tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, OWASP ZAP, etc.

· Ability to review, validate, and communicate pentest results effectively.

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

· Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a cybersecurity team.

· Knowledge of compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

· Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CRTP, CEH(Masters), CISSP, or CISM preferred.
