JD Pega Project Manager

Designation:

They are responsible for leading the project team, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions within the agreed-upon scope, timeline, and budget.

Experience: 10-15 Years

Key responsibilities

• Project planning and execution:

  Developing comprehensive project plans and managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial development to implementation. This includes breaking down work, setting realistic timelines, and defining key milestones and deliverables.

• Team leadership:

  Building and guiding a project team, which can include Pega developers, business architects, and quality assurance specialists. They effectively delegate tasks and foster a collaborative environment.

• Stakeholder management and communication:

  Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams. A Pega Project Manager manages expectations, provides regular status reports, and ensures clear communication to keep all parties aligned.

• Risk and issue management:

  Identifying potential project risks, such as scope creep or technical issues, and developing strategies to mitigate them. They also actively remove impediments and barriers for the project team.

• Budget and resource management:

  Tracking project budgets, managing costs, and allocating resources efficiently. This includes coordinating with third-party vendors and contractors when necessary.

• Quality assurance and governance:

  Overseeing quality control throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring that the implemented solutions adhere to Pega best practices and architecture standards.

• Methodology guidance:

  Advising on appropriate project delivery methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, and how to align them with the client's needs.

Essential skills and qualifications

Hard skills

• Pega platform knowledge:

  A solid understanding of Pega platform fundamentals, including case management, decisioning, and low-code capabilities.

• Project management expertise:

  Proven experience in managing technical projects, with knowledge of planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

• Agile methodology:

  Strong proficiency in Agile and Scrum frameworks, including facilitating ceremonies like daily stand-ups and sprint planning.

• Technical background:

  The ability to understand and participate in architectural and technical decisions, ensuring the Pega solution is both functional and scalable.

• Certifications:

  While not always required, certifications like a Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly valued.
