Role Overview

PEB Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and detail PEB structures including primary/secondary members, bracings, and connections.
  
• Prepare and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and shop details.
  
• Perform structural analysis using

  STAAD Pro / SAP2000 / ETABS / MBS (Metal Building Software)

  .
• Ensure compliance with international and Indian standards (

  AISC, IS, MBMA, BIS, ASTM

  ).
• Optimize designs for material cost savings without compromising safety.
  
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams for design feasibility.
  
• Review client specifications, tender drawings, and BOQ for design scope.
  
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and erection stages.
  
• Maintain records of design revisions, approvals, and client communications.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of structural steel design and PEB concepts.
  
• Proficiency in

  STAAD Pro, MBS, AutoCAD, Tekla

  , or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of connection design, load combinations, and detailing.
  
• Knowledge of codes:

  IS, AISC, MBMA, ASTM

  .
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering

  (mandatory).

• M.Tech in Structural Engineering

  (preferred, not mandatory).

Experience

• 38 years of experience in PEB / structural steel design.
  
• Freshers with strong technical knowledge and design software proficiency may be considered for junior roles.
