Key Responsibilities of a PDI Incharge:

• Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Supervision:
• Oversee the inspection of new vehicles upon arrival from the manufacturer.
• Ensure vehicles meet all quality and safety standards before delivery.
• Manage and assign tasks to the PDI team or technicians.
• Inspection Checklist Management:
• Verify that PDI checklists (as per OEM standards) are completed for every vehicle.
• Ensure inspection includes engine function, electronics, fluid levels, brakes, lights, tires, infotainment system, and bodywork.
• Defect Identification & Rectification:
• Identify any damage, faults, or defects in the vehicles.
• Coordinate with the workshop team or manufacturer for repairs/replacements.
• Vehicle Preparation for Delivery:
• Oversee washing, cleaning, polishing, and final beautification of the vehicle.
• Ensure all accessories and customer-specific add-ons are installed.
• Documentation & Record Keeping:
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and vehicle readiness.
• Report daily status to service manager or dealer principal.
• Inventory Coordination:
• Track incoming vehicles from logistics and update system records.
• Coordinate with sales and logistics teams regarding delivery schedules.
• Customer Satisfaction:
• Ensure that vehicles are delivered in perfect condition to enhance customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
• Team Management:
• Supervise PDI technicians, cleaners, and accessory fitters.
• Conduct training and quality audits.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in service, inspection, or quality control roles.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and OEM inspection procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.

Sample PDI Checklist Includes:

• Visual exterior & interior check (scratches, dents, etc.)
• Engine start & idle check
• Lights, horn, wipers, and indicators
• Tyre pressure and wheel alignment
• Battery condition
• Fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake, washer, etc.)
• Accessory fitting (mats, music system, etc.)
• VIN & engine number matching
• Odometer reading verification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
