Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage primary & secondary packing operations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
2. Oversee blister packing, bottling, strip packing, cartoning, labeling, and other packing line activities.
3. Review batch packing records (BPR/BMR), logbooks, and ensure all documentation is completed as per cGMP.
4. Monitor online IPQA checks, yield reconciliation, and address any variances or non-conformances.
5. Ensure strict adherence to GMP, GDP, safety, and SOP guidelines across packing operations.
6. Plan, allocate, and supervise manpower to achieve daily and monthly production targets.
7. Handle CCP, deviations, change controls, and CAPA in TrackWise or equivalent QMS system.
8. Ensure proper receipt, issuance, usage, and reconciliation of printed packing materials.
9. Manage foil, label, and carton quarantine areas and ensure materials are controlled as per procedure.
10. Oversee overprinting activities and reconciliation of rubber stereos, codes, and batch details.
11. Ensure equipment readiness, line clearance, and proper housekeeping of packing areas.
12. Coordinate with Engineering for preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and calibration activities.
13. Prepare, review, and ensure strict compliance with departmental SOPs and work instructions.
14. Conduct in-process checks, online record keeping, and ensure error-free documentation.
15. Identify process improvements, implement corrective actions, and enhance packing line efficiency.
16. Train operators/technicians and ensure discipline, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.
17. Support internal & external audits (MHRA, USFDA, WHO) and ensure timely closure of observations.

• Getting the shift plan from superiors and allocating the works and work instructions to Technicians.
• Strictly following the GMP norms and Quality system of the organization without any deviation.
• Responsible for ensuring as well as to follow online Documentation at shop floor.
• Responsible for performing online in process quality checks and calibration of supporting equipment.
• Responsible to perform and ensure contemporaneous in process quality checks.
• Responsible to ensure calibration of equipment/instruments as per schedule.
• Responsible for achieving planned output without any deviation.
• Revision of batch documents like BMR, BPR, LOGBOOKS and other GMP documents as on when required.
• Perform reconciliation of input materials and output products at end every batch production.
• Responsible for review of executed batch records before submitting to QA and to address QA batch review comments if any.
• Responsible for maintaining area and equipment cleanliness along with personal hygiene conditions while working at process area.
• Responsible to follow safety precautions while operating the machinery and equally responsible to escalate any unsafe condition at work place as well as within factory premises.
• Check and verify the Weighing details of input and output materials during start and end of the process respectively.
• Responsible to inform any deviation and non-compliance online to production shop floor immediate supervisor and Quality Assurance supervisor.
• Responsible to co-ordinate with R&D and TT departments during the execution of Exhibit and validation batches.
• Responsible for preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Responsible for batch record request in BIMS and receipt of printed batch record.
• Responsible for batch creation in Pharmasecure, Optel and Jekson systems during serialization and aggregation.
• Responsible for batch closing and report generation in Pharmasecure, Optel and Jekson systems after batch execution .
