Packaging Supervisor

Job Title: Packaging Supervisor
Department: Production / Packaging
Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Manager
Location: Factory / Manufacturing Unit

Job Summary

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily packaging operations to ensure products are packed safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with company standards, quality requirements, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day packaging activities on the shop floor
• Ensure packaging is done as per approved SOPs, quality standards, and safety norms
• Allocate manpower and assign duties to packaging staff
• Monitor packaging output, productivity, and wastage
• Ensure proper labeling, sealing, and packing of finished goods
• Maintain packaging records, batch details, and daily production reports
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Stores departments
• Ensure housekeeping, hygiene, and 5S practices in packaging area
• Train packaging operators on procedures, safety, and quality requirements
• Identify and report machine breakdowns or material shortages
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of packaging processes and materials
• Basic understanding of quality control and GMP practices
• Good leadership and team-handling skills
• Ability to maintain records and reports
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Graduate (Any stream – Technical preferred)

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in packaging operations in a manufacturing industry

Working Conditions

• Factory/shop-floor environment
• Shift duties as per production requirement

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
