Packaging Development Head

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading the packaging function for the electronic products division of the company. Your role will involve developing and implementing packaging solutions for various product lines, ensuring product protection, cost efficiency, and compliance with packaging standards. Additionally, you will work on vendor development and management to ensure high-quality and cost-effective packaging solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and execution of packaging solutions for electronic products, focusing on product protection, aesthetic appeal, and cost efficiency. - Take ownership of packaging activities post-sales order, designing and validating packaging for different product lines. - Collaborate with R&D, Sourcing, Production, and Quality teams to finalize packaging designs and material specifications. - Manage local vendors for packaging materials, optimizing packaging for transportation safety, cost, and operational efficiency. - Oversee packaging trials, quality checks, and documentation, identifying and implementing packaging innovations to reduce damage, cost, and environmental impact. Qualification Required: - Degree in Packaging Technology or B.Tech in Electronics. - Minimum 7 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the electronics or consumer durables industry. - In-depth knowledge of plastic packaging, bubble wrap, corrugated boxes, and ESD-safe packaging materials. - Proven experience in vendor development and negotiation. - Strong project execution, documentation, and interdepartmental coordination skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
