OT ASSISTANT

Role Overview: As an OT Assistant at The Eye Foundation's Cochin branch, you will be a vital part of the surgical team, assisting ophthalmologists during various procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and the success of the practice. Key Responsibilities: - Assist ophthalmologists in a variety of surgical procedures, such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and glaucoma procedures. - Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques during surgery. - Handle surgical instruments and supplies as required during procedures. - Greet and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure. - Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery, monitor vital signs, and address any immediate patient needs. - Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, patient information, outcomes, and complications. - Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and stay updated on best practices in ophthalmology surgery. Qualifications: - Diploma or equivalent, with preference for further education or certification in healthcare. - Proven experience as an Ophthalmology Surgical Assistant. - Strong knowledge of ophthalmic surgical procedures and equipment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols.,
